The Team Behind
The Mission
“More enduringly than any other sport, wrestling teaches self-control and pride. Some have wrestled without great skill — none have wrestled without pride.” — Dan Gable
Beat The Streets Tampa Bay is led by a committed group of coaches, mentors, board members, and community advocates working to expand access to wrestling-based youth development throughout the Tampa Bay Area.
Built By Leaders Who Believe In The Power Of Wrestling
Beat The Streets Tampa Bay is a nonprofit organization committed to transforming the lives of youth through the sport of wrestling. Our mission is to empower young people — on and off the mat — by providing access to high-quality wrestling programs, mentorship, and character development opportunities across the Tampa Bay Area.
A Team Committed to Changing Lives
We believe wrestling builds more than athletes. It builds leaders. Through discipline, resilience, and teamwork, BTSTB student-athletes gain the tools they need to succeed in school, in competition, and in life.
Currently operating in multiple locations — including Boys & Girls Clubs in Belmont Heights, Riverview, Pinellas Park, and Northside St. Pete — BTSTB is creating safe, structured environments where kids can grow, compete, and thrive. Programs are open to all youth regardless of experience, background, or ability to pay.
As we grow, our vision is clear: to make wrestling accessible to every young person in Tampa Bay who wants to step on the mat. Whether it’s their first practice or their next championship, we’re in their corner.
